artTour
As with last year, Bow Valley artists have two different opportunities to exhibit their work; the artFair listed above and artTour listed below.
artTour is truly a unique opportunity as it showcases Canmore artists and their businesses, and where to find them!! With a growing number of galleries, showrooms and studios outside the downtown area, this creates an art adventure for visitors keen to see a variety of work. Maps of specific areas such as Benchlands will assist drivers in locating you.
Should you wish to have your studio included in the artTour , your name and address will be printed in a keyed map as part of the artsPeak Brochure. This map and the artTour information will encourage artsPeak visitors to spend part of their day cruising around Canmore.
Your studio will need to be available to the public from 10 am until at least 4 pm on both the Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, you may opt to hold a show opening on Friday evening, in which place advise me so that information can be included in a listing of Friday events. You may also opt to hold demonstrations/talks about your art throughout the weekend, e.g. “artist’s talk at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 on Saturday”. If so, let us know when you reply and we will include that information in the insert.
If you are interested in this marketing event, please forward your studio name, artist name, street address, optional openings/demos/talks, contact information, and your remittance of $200.00, payable to Mountain Arts Foundation (see below for mail address).
The deadline for artTour registration is April 15th .
Please get in touch with any questions you may have by March 15th and we will set up a short coffee meeting in the next two weeks.
