ArtLens Digital Photography Workshops
June 20 and 21, 2009

The Canmore Camera Club will offer two sets of workshops during artsPeak weekend for beginner and intermediate level photographers wishing to learn more about using digital cameras and processing images. Anyone having an interest in photography may find these workshops useful.  Registration is limited to 12 participants per workshop, so please register early.  June 18 is the deadline for registration.

All workshops will be team taught by seasoned photographers, each with their own knowledge base and style. The team consists of Jean Parboosingh, President of the Canmore Camera Club, and Dana Naldrett and Lyn Murray, founders of Mountain Laddie Photography Ltd. Participants are encouraged to talk with all instructors to get the broadest range of experience.

Beginner workshops introduce those photographers, who are considering changing from film to digital or those who are completely new to photography, to the basics of digital photograph, including how the digital camera works, composition, the impact of lighting, and shooting modes. These will be held on the Saturday and Sunday morning of artsPeak weekend between 10:30 a.m.and 12 noon.

Intermediate workshops assume that you are familiar with the parts and basic functions of your camera; if you do not already have a dSLR, you may be thinking of moving from a compact to a dSLR and wonder what the advantages of doing so are.  You will learn more about how to improve your photography by using the more advanced functions of your camera.  Workflow issues will be discussed. These will be held on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon of artsPeak weekend between 1:00 p.m. and 3 p.m.

For more details and to register, visit www.canmorecameraclub.com.
